Pressero Server Update

Update: November 15, 2017 at 10:15 AM CST.
We have made a change that will make the grid respond immediately to status changes (only). Status changes in either the order summary grid or by updating the status in the order detail. All other updates/changes to the order detail will still need 1-3 minutes to show. We hope this captures the majority of the updates being made in the order area. With this one update we are still seeing significant increases in speed while retaining stability of the server. As before, we continue to explore and investigate other ways to have this level of responsiveness while keeping the stability of the system as a priority.

A change was made to the Chicago server to address slow speed issues often experienced on the Admin Orders Page. We have added caching for queries on orders less than 90 days old. Once this was implemented, we saw an immediately improvement in the load times for the orders in this date range. What this change means to you: You will see a significant improvement in the time it takes your orders page to load. The trade-off is that If you make changes to the order items, you may need to wait 1-3 minutes to see those changes after saving or refreshing. You will also notice that seeing new orders in the list will also be delayed, and that it takes longer to load orders older than 90 days because we are accessing the data from the database in the same way we have before this change. We welcome your feedback on this change.
