Production Resources & Production Processes

Important:

Departments, Price Groups, & Production Resources Must be setup Before Creating/Adding Production Resources & Production Processes.
Production Resources require at least one Production Process

Please use the Information  icon for updated data.
In this document, we will cover Production Processes. Production Processes are used to define your Production Resources (Equipment/Manual Labor). A Production Resource can contain an unlimited number of Production Processes that are used to define unique configurations for each Production Resource. A Production Process can be copied allowing you to rename, edit cost and production settings to create a new Production Process configuration for that Production Resource.
There is no limit to how many Production Process you can have within a Production Resource. Production Processes are a vital component when building a Product Engine, so it is important to make sure that you do some pre-planning before building your Production Processes as the naming conventions you use will make searching for Product Process quick and easy when building Product Engines.

Production Resources: Are user defined Equipment and Manual Labor functions. (See Sample below)
Production Processes Are the user defined processes/Configurations within a Production Resource that represent the various production characteristics that the function is capable of.  (See Samples below)

Production Resources and Production Process Samples:
Each Production Process in a Production Resource may have longer/shorter setup/make-ready, slower or faster run/process time, higher/lower rates (Fixed, Unit, Labor, Machine) to define the specified Equipment or Labor function, see below.

IMPORT / EXPORT FEATURE

Users may export the Production resource and production process import template, fill in the information and then import into PrintJobManager. Also users may export the Production resource and production process information into an excel spreadsheet make any changes or additions and then re-import back to PrintJobManager. Here is a sample template with instructions - ProductionResourceImportTemplate.xlsx  You can place your cursor over each column title to get a brief description.
