Adding Background Files and Color Palette choices to a template

Can I give my customers the ability to choose different background images or colors?

Yes! This is supported in Interactive Designer template’s only (not form-based templates).

Swappable Background Images and Color Swatches

Easily allow your clients more customization options by giving them the ability to change the background for some or all pages of their template. You can allow your users to select from various background images and/or color swatches. This option is only available for templates that use eDocBuilder’s Interactive Designer.

How to Set This Up (Overview)

  1. Go to your Interactive Designer template’s Assets area,
  2. Click on Background Files.

Offer Image Options Only

  1. Load Images. Upload your own images from your desktop or by selecting them from your library.
  2. Mark the Ones You want. Check mark the images you want used with this template
  3. Save. Click the Save Background Files Options button
  4. Commit. Click the Field Setup link and then the Commit Changes button

Offer Palette Options Only

  1. Mark Palette Option. Check mark "Allow solid color as background" option and select the palette from the list
  2. Set Page. Click the Set Page Options button
  3. Save. Click the Save Background Files Options button
  4. Commit. Click the Field Setup link and then the Commit Changes button

Offer Both Image and Palette Options

  1. Load Images. Upload your own images from your desktop or by selecting them from your library.
  2. Mark the Ones You want. Check mark the images you want used with this template
  3. Mark Palette Option. Check mark "Allow solid color as background" option and select the palette from the list
  4. Set Page. Click the Set Page Options button
  5. Save. Click the Save Background Files Options button
  6. Commit. Click the Field Setup link and then the Commit Changes button
