Overview

Each of the Pressero skins has 4 menus than can be edited via Pressero admin. To get to this area, go to: Admin > Sites > Choose site > Navigation. This navigation area allows you to customize each of the 4 menus with categories, products, pages, external links, standard pages and submenus.

Adding to Menus

Adding to menus is easy. Just drag and drop an item from the left area onto the menu configuration area.

To create a submenu just simple drag and drop the "SubMenu" item over to the menu configuration area. When adding items to the submenu drag them to the right while hovering over the SubMenu folder.

To change the name or delete a submenu use the arrow on the right of the submenu item.

Menu Depth

  1. When expanding the "Product catalog root" menu item you will see an option to rename the item, change its depth and an option to include products.
  2. When expanding a category menu item you will be able to rename the category as it will appear in the menu, change its depth and include products.
  3. This is an example of a menu item with just renaming capabilities

What is depth?

Depth is the amount of nested items a navigation menu will show. For example, every website has a root category and each new category is nested inside the root. Each of these new categories has a depth of 2. For each additional nested category the depth increases by 1.

Below is an example of a "Product catalog root" menu item set to a depth of 3 and the option ot include products is on.

  1. This is the base menu items all of them have a depth of 1.
  2. This is the Brochures category it has a depth of two as it is nested within the "Product catalog root" menu item.
  3. This is a category nested within the Brochures category it has a depth of 3.
  4. When "Include Products" is checked all products that are part of a category will show.

History

Every time the navigation is saved that version of the navigation is also saved in the history. In the event that any menu changes need to be reverted a user can pick an older version from history and overwite the current menu.

Menu history saves the state of ALL 4 menus. If you revert to an older version you will be reverting all 4 menus to their older versions and overwriting the current menus configurations.
