Overview

Pressero can be integrated with the DEAR Systems Warehouse Management System (WMS) for sophisticated fulfillment inventory services.

As part of the integration process

  • Products, Categories and Pricing from your DEAR system are imported into your Pressero store
  • They will be listed in the store within a Category.
  • The product price calculator will show the DEAR price that has been assigned to the Pressero Site User Group that the active user belongs to. After an order is placed, the order will be sent to DEAR Systems based a Pressero Orders status.
  • If it is an order for a product of the type "Service", the order will not be authorized automatically.
  • For AUTHORIZED orders, the DEAR Systems order ID and number will be displayed in the Pressero admin’s Orders area in the Job # field.

Order Data Integration

The purpose of this document is to outline the requirements to successfully setup the integration and transfer order and customer information from Aleyant Pressero to a given instance of DEAR Systems. This is a one-way integration, Dear does not push status updates to Pressero.

1. Integration Import Settings

To import products from DEAR Systems to Pressero, Aleyant will provide your shop with a username and password to access the integration management area:  https://external.ams.pressero.com/


 
Once inside "External Service", you will access the "Third Party Integrations" section:


 
Select the DEAR Systems Settings. Here you will be able to choose between configuring all the initial parameters for the integration or managing the import of products:
 
 

1.1 External Service Settings

You will be entering the Account ID, Application Key and API URL provided by DEAR Systems and select for each of your Pressero Workflows (you created in Pressero > Admin > Preferences) the “trigger” status that will cause the order to be sent to your DEAR WMS.
 
If the “trigger” status is “Order Received” for example, the orders will flow automatically to DEAR when placed by the buyer. If the trigger Status is say, “Order Completed”, then the order will not flow into Dear until Order Completed has been selected by you manually or by another system you have integrated with Pressero such as PrintJobManager MIS or perhaps from a bar code scanner using the Pressero PDF job ticket.
 
The list of importable products will be shown in the integration settings area together with the available import options (the system will take a few minutes to display the list).


 
To import your DEAR products into Pressero:

  1. Select the products you want imported from the list displayed at the bottom.
  2. Select the store you want the selected products imported into.
  3. Select the Categories you want the products assigned to. There are two ways this can be done. Either A) select existing Pressero Categories as below

     
  4. or B) automatically create Categories in Pressero that correspond to the product’s categories in DEAR Systems by selecting "Check this option if you do not want to assign categories to products and prefer to create the DEAR categories on the selected Pressero site".
  5. You can choose whether a mandatory field is shown for a file upload that will be sent to DEAR Systems when the order is finalized.
  6. You can choose the Pressero workflow to be assigned to the selected products.
  7. Note: you must choose one (but not both) of the two Categorization options above, otherwise the import will fail. So, if leaving #4 unchecked, select the Pressero categories to be assigned to the products being imported.
  8.  You must select the Pressero Site User Groups these products will be assigned to and
  9. You must select the DEAR Group Price to be assigned to each of the selected Site User Groups.
  10. Select as many products as you want to import with those parameters by clicking on the check box for each product and press the "CREATE SELECTED PRODUCTS" button. The selected products will be created automatically in Pressero. The process may take a few minutes.

     
  11. The list of products that can be imported are shown in this area with the possible import options. The system will take a few minutes to display the list.

2. Pressero Integration Settings

A User ID will display in a new field called "DEAR Systems ID" configured in the Pressero admin Custom Profile Information section as shown in the following screen:


The User ID is being supplied by a new webhook located in Preferences > WebHooks:

  1. Go to Preferences > WebHooks. You will see a new webhook for DEAR.

     
  2. Click on the Edit icon next to Dear to see more. Do Not change or modify the webhook parameters under the Settings tab unless someone at Aleyant asks you to. Otherwise, making a change will likely cause your integration to stop working or yield unexpected results. Look, don’t touch.
  3. Click the Selected Sites tab. Choose the Pressero stores you want activated for DEAR. The screen will look like this:

     

3. How the Integration Works

After the products are imported into a Pressero store, they will be listed within a Category based on your choice detailed in 1.1 above.
 
Categories
Categories do not have images in DEAR Systems so they will be created in Pressero with the default Category image (three stacked documents). You can replace it with your own art.
 


Products
The products that have an image in DEAR Systems will be created in Pressero with that image. Those that do not have an image will be created with the default Pressero Product image (three stacked documents) below. You can replace it with your own art.


 
The product price calculator will show the price that has been assigned to the Pressero Site User Group that the active user belongs:
 
Orders
After an order is completed, the order will be sent to DEAR Systems based the status setting you made as detailed in 1.1 above. If it is an order for a product of the type "Service", the order will not be authorized automatically. If the order has been AUTHORIZED, the DEAR Systems order ID and number will be displayed in the Pressero admin’s Orders area in the Job # field.
