Question:  Is there a way to apply discount based on user account ?
 
Answer: Unfortunately there is no method that would allow you to add a discount to the specific user directly; however, you can try one of two things:
 
  • Setup a promotion code to allow a percent off (or other type of discount) whenever they order.  You would distribute this to any users that would be allowed to use the code.  You might create different promo codes for various discount amounts if multiple users are to receive differing discounts.
     
  • Create a Site Group for specific users that would receive a discount.  You would then setup a separate pricing engine that contains the pricing discount for the product and pair that to the Site Group.
 
Either of these two methods will likely produce similar results to what you are looking to achieve.
