How do I tell Google not to index my site?

You may wish to prevent Google and other search engines from indexing your site.  To do this, go to Site Settings and click on the HTML/SEO tab.  Expand the robots.txt area and enter the following text:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

Be sure to click save when finished.
