tFLOW requirements for self hosted (Discontinued)

Starting from June 2020 we no longer offer tFlow Self hosted under MS Windows, please refer to this page for the requirements on tFLOW under Linux:

tFlow requirements

  • Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 or 2016 (Standard, Datacenter) with GUI enabled.
  • PROCESSOR - Intel server processor (Xeon E3 or I7) or better
  • RAM min 8GB (16GB or more recommended)
  • Primary HD:  min 1TB***
  • Secondary HD: not mandatory but highly recommended to make backups on a separate physical drive (same size as primary) or to install the DB on a dedicated drive
  • no special requirements for video card
 
 Notes:
  • *** Please refer to tFLOW Server Resources article for more information
  • ***: depending on the workload, this space is enough space to host around 6000 jobs with PDF average size of 4MB each
     
  • maximum file size is 1.9GB
     
  • is client responsibility to implement all the needed actions and tools to secure the server when exposed over internet.(firewall, proxy, etc..)
     
  • Avoid to use data compression, data deduplicaiton and be careful installing Antivirus or software firewalls, they all could decrease the server performances.
 
Remote access : installation and support
  • Remote Desktop Connection with Admin privileges
  • network card (ipv4) with static IP address, 1 GB lan
  • latest Firefox installed
 

To access from outside the LAN we need to open firewall port (if present), default port is:
  • Port 80
    (can be set to different port)
 
tFLOW can be installed on Virtual servers.

Aleyant has no control  and no responsibility for subscriber's internal hardware, setup, config, file server, network, etc.

The items below (if needed) are outside the scope of the above support and would be charged a professional service fee:

  • installation, configuration and all the related settings

Linux OS

  • installation
  • installing and updating the required packages
  • updating the kernel
  • upgrading OS version

Network configuration

  • assign ip addresses, mask, gateway, etc..
  • managing internet connection and local network access
  • setting and configuring firewalls
  • DNS configuration
  • managing VPN and SSH access
  • generic connectivity problems

Filesystem

  • managing and monitoring, processes, files, directories and devices
  • filesystem housekeeping
  • filesystem checking and fixing the integrity
  • extend the capacity
  • backups and restores

Security

  • intrusion detection systems
  • VPN settings and configuration
  • antivirus
  • users password creation and management
  • installing Linux security updates

Monitoring

  • system monitoring (CPU  usage, swap usage, mem usage and I/O disk monitoring)
  • network and connection monitoring and alert settings
  • resource management
