Price Groups are now used as a mark up tool when creating an estimate or a job. With this new feature you do not have to set mark ups at the production process or material level. You apply at create estimate or create job stage.
In this document, we will cover how to Add New / Edit / Delete Price Groups There is no limit to how many Price Groups you can have.
 
Price Groups  - Main Menu Overview (Main Menu > Settings (A) > Price Groups (B))

Apply Price Groups - Create Estimate/Create Job
 
1. Answer Prompts in Product Engine
2. Calculate Price
3. Price Basis (No Markup)
4. Select Price Group (Mark up) from drop down
5. Sell Price - (Price Basis*Markup) + Shipping Charges + Tax

IF YOU WISH TO SET MARK UPS AT THE PRODUCTION PROCESS AND MATERIAL LEVEL FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
In this document, we will cover how to Add New / Edit / Delete Price Groups There is no limit to how many Price Groups you can have. Price Groups allow you to create unique pricing characteristics for Materials and Equipment that will be used to create the Product Engines used to create Estimates and Jobs in PrintJobManager. When setting up Organizations you can assign a Price Group to a specific Organization.

Materials: You may have a material such as paper using the "Default" Price Group in the Pricing Range of 1 to 5000 sheets at $96.50 per 1000 sheets. You can can create another Price Range and use the same From - To quantities, or a new set of from  - To quantity and select another user defined Price group called "ABC Contract" with the price of $91.54 Per 1000 sheets (Fig.1 Above)

Equipment / Manual Labor: You may have a Equipment or Manual Labor function such as a Digital Press using the "Default" Price Group in the Pricing Range 1 to 50 @ $0.16 per click, and from 51 to 100 @ $0.14 per click. By creating another Price Range and using the same From - To quantities,  using the  "ABC Contract" Price Group in the Pricing Range 1 to 50 is now $0.10 per click, and from 51 to 100 @ $0.09 per click (see Fig.2 Above).

Product Engine TestWhen you have set your Materials (Fig.3-1), Equipment (Fig.3-2/3), Manual Labor Price Fig.3-4/5) Ranges with Price Groups you can test the Product Engine. You can also rename the product engine as Banner - ABC Contract. 
 
Important: If you create a Price Group ALL Materials, Equipment and Manual Labor must have a Price and Quantity Range using the selected Price Group, if one of the are not connected to a Price Group, you will receive an Error notification advising you as to which Material or Equipment/Labor function does not have that specific Price Group assigned.

  1. Gear Icon: Selecting the Gear icon   will allow you to Delete/Hide Price Groups in the list view. If you want to see Deleted/Hidden Price Groups uncheck Hide Deleted checkbox.
  2. Select Default: Please select a Default Price Group, when no Price Group is assigned to an Organization. 
  3. Search Price Groups: To search Price Groups, type in the first couple of letters of the Price Group that you are looking for and select the Search Icon   the system will show all of the active Price Groups matching the data you entered. The more data you enter into the Search Terms field the quicker and more accurate your search will be.
  4. +Add New: Use this button to create a Price Group.
  5. Name (Column): Shows a listing by the Name of the Price Groups, by clicking on the Name header you can sort by Ascending - Descending (Alphanumeric Order). By selecting the Filter icon you will have multiple user defined Filter/Sort options. 
  6. Description (Column): Shows a listing of the Description of the Price Group, by clicking on the Description header you can sort by Ascending - Descending (Alphanumeric Order). By selecting the Filter icon you will have multiple user defined Filter/Sort options. 
  7. Edit icon: To Edit Price Groups select the Edit  icon located on the left side of the Person you would like to Edit. 
  8. Delete icon: To Delete/Hide Price Groups select the Delete  icon located on the left side of the Price Group that you would like to Delete/Hide. When Deleting Price Groups they become inactive and and Hidden. You can reactivate Price Groups by selecting the Gear  icon, and unselecting the Hide Deleted checkbox, you can now search for the Deleted/Hidden Price Groups and select the Edit   icon to reactivate. 
  9. Page view (Navigation): Use the directional arrows to go forward/back a page, or directly to the beginning or end. You can also select the page number you would like to view.
  10. Items per Page: You can select the number of people 5,10,25,50, to show on 1 page from a dropdown list (10 items per page is the default)
  11. Number of Price Groups currently being viewed and of total number of Price Groups: Reference only.
 
Price Groups  - Add / Edit / Delete

Follow the process below to Add a New Price Group, all Price Groups MUST have a unique Name, You will receive an Error stating that this Price Group Name is already being Used.
  1. Add New: Selecting the +Add New icon will open up an active row to enter the required data for your New Price Group
  2. Name (*Required): Enter a Name for your New Price Group.
  3. Description: You can add a detailed description of this Price Group, or copy it from the name field and Paste it in the Description field.
  4. Save or Cancel: Click on the Green Checkmark if you are satisfied with the data you have entered, or select the X to cancel this submission.
 
Price Groups  - Edit (Fig.4  (Main Menu > Settings (A) > Price Groups (B) > Edit (7))
Follow the process below to Edit a Price Group, 
 
  1. Name (*Required): Enter a new Name for your selected Price Group.
  2. Description: You can add a detailed description of this Price Group, or copy it from the name field and Paste it the Description field.
  3. Save or Cancel: Click on the Green Checkmark if you are satisfied with the data you have entered, or select the X to cancel this submission.
Price Groups  - Delete (Fig.4  (Main Menu > Settings (A) > Price Groups (B) > Delete(8))
 
Note: When you delete a Price Group all items within the Price Group will be Inactive. you can reactivate a Price group by deselecting the Hide Deleted checkbox (Fig.4 - 1) Select the Hidden Price Group and select Edit and Save, the Price group will be reactivated.
 
Follow the process below to Delete a Price Group, 
 
  1. Find the Price group you would like to Delete/Hide and select the Delete  icon.
