Material Categories & Bins

PRINTJOBMANAGER > Knowledge Base Documentation
IMPORTANT:
Before you can start entering or uploading materials you will need to set up the Material Categories. If you plan to track inventory (utilize material transactions) for a material then you will also need to set up a Bin for that Material.

In this document, we will cover how Create/Edit/Delete your Material Categories and Bin data. Categories are required as all Materials must be assigned to a Category, if tracking inventory you must set up Bins.
Material Categories and Bins are user defined allowing you to create Categories and Bins that meet your specific needs. There is no limit to the number of Categories or Bins that you can create, please take some time to plan before creating your Categories and Bins, the naming conventions you use can make searching for materials very quick and very easy.

There are Preloaded Categories and Bins in your PrintJobManager application, you can Add/Edit/Delete these  Categories and Bins, take a look at how they were Configured to give you some ideas when setting up your Categories and Bins.
